ABSTRACT
The emergence of the global COVID-19 pandemic proved to be a trigger to show the strengths and weaknesses of health systems around the world, including that of Mexico. It has been an opportunity to recognize the effectiveness of strategies designed to develop universal health coverage. The objective of this communication is to present some comments on health personnel and their performance during the COVID-19 pandemic in Mexico. The content is presented in a sequence that covers the health system, the population to be served, the beginning of the pandemic and the performance of health personnel.REFERENCES
