Health promotion and prevention social responsibility in the Nursing professional´s performance

ABSTRACT

Introduction: in the current context in which nursing professionals work, they have social responsibility to transform the ways of acting in order. To modify the environment, with the purpose of guaranteeing health promotion and disease prevention to people, family and community. Objective: to base on health promotion and disease prevention from the point of view of social responsibility in the professional performance of nursing. Method: a bibliographic search was carried out in different national and international databases such as: Hinari; Lilacs; Cumed; Medline; Clinical Key; in which different articles, journals and books published in Spanish and English in the period 2003-2021, which addressed health promotion and disease prevention from social responsibility, could be accessed. The search strategy was carried out using the descriptors in health sciences (DeCs) and the Boolean operators "AND, OR". A total of 105 articles were identified. Analysis and interpretation of information: health promotion and disease prevention from social responsibility which facilitates activities aimed at educating, guiding, restoring, rehabilitating and transforming the objective reality, in addition to preparing the sick person, family, caregivers and society on how to adapt to the new health situation and thus ensure wellbeing. Conclusions: a bibliographic review was carried out with the aim of systematizing health promotion and disease prevention, from the point of view of social responsibility in the professional performance of nursing, in the search for the common good.
