ABSTRACT
Kaposi sarcoma is an unusual multifocal neoplasm, caused by various types of cells, with cutaneous and extracutaneous manifestations; its primary presentation in the penis is relatively uncommon. The objective of this presentation is to notify the medical community about the diagnosis of a patient with genital epidemic Kaposi's sarcoma with an atypical presentation. A young patient with HIV/AIDS is treated at the Urology Service of “Dr. Gustavo Aldereguía Lima” General University Hospital, in Cienfuegos, for presenting purplish lesions, with irregular edges and hard consistency, on the right dorsolateral face of the penis. This case allowed us to corroborate that, however rare some entities may be, they can appear; therefore, they must be taken into account when proposing differential diagnoses of non-specific lesions in the penis in patients seropositive to HIV. Biopsy is of great importance to reach definitive conclusions and appropriate treatments.REFERENCES
