ABSTRACT

Background: Sinonasal schwannoma is a slowly growing benign tumor of the nasal cavity that originates in Schwann cells in peripheral nerve sheaths. It represents 4% of craneocervical schwannomas and its main origin is from the trigeminal nerve, the most common site of presentation is in the ethmoid sinus.
Clinical case: A 13-year-old female patient with nasal obstruction, right exophthalmos and a pink mass in the right nasal cavity with a biopsy diagnosis of nasal schwannoma.
Conclusions: Definitive treatment is complete surgical excision based on the location or extent of the lesion; there is a low risk of recurrence after surgical removal.
