ABSTRACT
Multilocular renal neoplasia with low malignant potential is a rare entity that accounts for 1 % to 4 % of renal carcinomas. The objective of this article was to discuss the diagnosis, therapeutic treatment and current aspects on the subject, in a case with multilocular cystic renal neoplasia. It was presented the case of a 48-year-old patient with an incidental diagnosis of a Bosniak IV cystic renal mass, that was treated by laparoscopic radical nephrectomy. Multilocular cystic renal neoplasia with low malignancy potential is concluded, which is a variant other than multicystic renal carcinoma, very rare, and usually shows an indolent behavior. However, further follow-up is required in the case presented. The use of contrasted abdominal CT is useful for its diagnosis and radical nephrectomy by laparoscopic approach is a therapeutic option.
