Editorial Office. Investigación en Discapacidad

After acceptance for publication of an abstract¹ submitted to the XI International Congress of Rehabilitation Research, the Editorial Office of the journal Investigación en Discapacidad received a request from the submitting author to add Paola Flores Ordoñez to the authors' list of this submission. The rationale for the request was that Dr. Flores Ordoñez contributed significantly to the project but was omitted by mistake. The submitting author provided a detailed description of the contributions that Dr. Flores Ordoñez had made to the project from the beginning.

We consulted the recommendations in "Changes in authorship: addition of extra author - after publication" from the Committee on Publication Ethics (https://publicationethics.org/resources/flowcharts/clone-changes-authorship-0), consisting basically in the following:

• 1. Clarifying the reason for adding an author
• 2. Explaining the reason for the omission
• 3. Checking that all authors consent in writing to add an extra author and agree with the order of the authors' list
• 4. Publish a correction

We contacted all authors, including Dr. Flores Ordoñez, sharing the above information and asking them to reply stating either of the following options:

• 1. I agree with inclusion of Dr. Flores Ordoñez in the authors' list and with the suggested order
• 2. I agree with inclusion of Dr. Flores Ordoñez in the authors' list but not with the suggested order
• 3. I do not agree with inclusion of Dr. Flores Ordoñez

All authors accepted inclusion of the proposed author and the suggested order; no further actions were taken. Thus, the authors' list for this publication should appear as follows:
