ABSTRACT

Fistulas associated with breast implants are unusual complications of augmentation mammoplasty, occurring only in 0.1% of primary implant surgery, especially in reconstructive cases. Few bibliographic reports exist worldwide that which highlight their rarity. Breast imaging supports diagnosis and confirms surgical treatment. We present the case of a patient with aesthetic breast implants, who developed bilateral capsular contracture, and attended a specialized consultation 15 years after her initial surgery, with serosanguineous fluid discharge from her breasts. After confirming the fistulous tract from skin of the breast to the capsular space, we performed surgery, achieving satisfactory results.
