ABSTRACT

Introduction: bone tumors are infrequent lesions in young adults; their bony location in the calcaneus is even rarer.
Patient information: young adult patient, a regular sports player, who presented with pain in the rearfoot. Radiologically, a lesion of the calcaneal body was observed and studies and surgical treatment were performed for a diagnosis of osteoblastoma; his evolution was favorable.
Conclusions: the rare presence of calcaneal tumor lesions is still a probability, so updating its diagnosis and the conduct to follow offers a possibility of knowledge for professionals.
