ABSTRACT
Mycosis fungoides is the most common type of cutaneous T-cell lymphoma. As non-specific skin lesions and non-specific infiltrates in the first phase of histology it is hard to diagnose clinically and histopathologically in the early stages of the disease. A 46-year-old male patient´s case is presented, with no personal pathological history, with 6 years of evolution, who began, according to him, with lesions in plaques in the abdomen. These were then extending to the entire body surface, for which multiple topical medications were applied without improvement. Disseminated lesions characterized by bright atrophic scars, residual hyper- and hypopigmentation, plaques, tumors, and ulcerations are present. A skin biopsy and immunohistochemistry tests were performed, confirming the diagnosis of mycosis fungoides in the tumor phase. The case is presented because of the importance of thinking about this disease to make an early prognosis.
