ABSTRACT
Gastric outflow tract obstruction is rare in childhood; its etiology is diverse and includes both inborn and acquired causes. Jodhpur disease is defined as the primary, idiopathic, acquired gastric outlet tract obstruction in childhood. Imaging studies such as esophagogastroduodenal series may show elongation and narrowing of the pyloric channel, with no or little, delayed passage of contrast material. The treatment for many years has been surgery, with a variable spectrum of surgical techniques and associated morbidity and mortality. We present a case of a transitional patient with non-bilious vomiting and abdominal pain of one month of evolution, alteration of the nutritional status by default, presented dilatation of the stomach, with peristaltic waves of struggle and radiological signs of pyloric obstruction, finding a non-hypertrophic stenosis of the pylorus without any obvious cause, received treatment consisting of pyloroplasty of Heinekis Mikulis.
