ABSTRACT

Rare cases of adult Still is disease (AOSD) and autoimmune inflammatory syndrome induced by adjuvants (ASIA) have been reported in patients with silicone breast implants. We present a narrative literature review and synthesis of cases describing this association, with emphasis on the post-mastectomy context. We highlight the diagnostic, therapeutic and prognostic aspects, as well as implications for the follow-up of patients with breast reconstruction.
