ABSTRACT
Mexico is a country with a complex and changing migration profile based on the socioeconomic and political conditions in the region. Mexico is a country of origin, transit, destination, and return for migrants. The different forms of mobility entail differentiated vulnerability and risks, impacting the health of migrants. The Mexican government’s health policy for new mobility has focused on emergency care, with few strategies for medium- and long-term integration, and persistent barriers to access to health care. In the seminar “Toward an Inclusive Migration and Health Policy with a Human Rights Perspective,” seven recommendations to improve health and migration policy in Mexico. To implement an inclusive policy, it is necessary to consider all groups and document, identify, and address the barriers they face in exercising their right to health.REFERENCES
