The development of managerial competences from the university context

ABSTRACT
Introduction: A systematization of the work by different authors on the evolution of competences and managerial competencies in the university context of medical sciences was carried out.Objective: To identify the references that allow an approach to the design of a model for the development of managerial competences of managers in teaching scenarios.
Development: In the field of medical education, the development of managerial competences contributes to the managers' ability to face the educational teaching process successfully, which favors the updating of knowledge. In this respect, a historical-logical study was carried out, which allowed to know the different authors and the positions assumed with respect to competences, as well as to identify how managerial competences have been modeled in university managers in Cuba and in international contexts.
Conclusions: Organizational structures, hierarchical levels, communicative routines, participation schemes, established as an articulated whole, make up the institutional environment from which the development of managerial competences of managers is modeled.
