During the meeting of the ALEH delegates held in Buenos Aires in December 2006, the Annals of Hepatology (official journal of the Mexican Hepatology Association) was unanimously designated as the official journal of the Latin-American Association for the Study of the Liver. This change comes to replace “Gastroenterología y Hepatología”, the journal of the Spanish Association for the Study of the Liver, which served as official journal of the ALEH in the last 4 years.
