ABSTRACT
Rheumatoid Arthritis and antisynthetase syndrome are two distinctive entities, the coexistence of which is rare. The case of a 48-year-old female patient with a 3-year history of RA who developed SAS is reported. The diagnosis was made by the positivity of the Anti-Jo 1 antibody, interstitial lung disease, polyarthritis, muscle weakness, mechanic's hands and other skin lesions.
