ABSTRACT

Hyperthyroidism associated ophthalmopathy is the first leading cause of unilateral or bilateral proptosis in adults. It is now known that Graves’ ophthalmopathy is an inflammatory disease of the orbital tissues in addition to immunological reactions. The following case report will discuss the basic pathophysiology, treatment and risk factors for severity of this disease
