ABSTRACT

Introduction: stromal neoplasms affecting the gastrointestinal tract are divided into two groups. The less common group of tumors are identical to those that might arise in the soft tissues throughout the rest of the body like leiomyosarcomas. Clinical case: a 69-year-old patient was admitted due to episodes of pain in crisis and weight loss of 20 kg since the start of symptoms. TAC of the abdomen and pelvis shows the «target» sign. Conclusion: this case shows the importance of the knowledge of the possible causes of intussusception in adults and the resection of the affected segment.
