Torsion of one or more pulmonary lobes is a rare pathology in dogs and eats. The etiology of rhispmblem is still unknown, There is a prediipwition in race dogs, being the Afghan Hound and the Bond the most susceptible ones. The torsion of the right medium lobe is the most common. The clinical case reported in this paper is a right medium lobar torsion in a six month ald Afghan Hound hit by a car month before. The patient was operated on, due to fracture of the right radius and an open reduction of the ipsilateral hip joint luxation was performed, One month later the dog was presented for re-check with dyspnoea. The dog was evaluated and diagnosis of lobar torsion was made. The dog was prepared for surgery, but died during anaesthesia. Lobar torsion is one of the problems to be considered in the diagnosis of toracic pathology. "X" rays play a remarkable role in the diagnosis.
