ABSTRACT
Appendiceal cystoadenoma is a cystic dilatation of the appendix due to accumulation of mucous material, it may be caused by benign or malignant diseases. Cystoadenoma is rare, accounting for only 0.2 to 0.3% of appendectomy specimens. Appendectomy is the treatment of choice in benign disease, and right hemicolectomy for malignant disease. We present a case report of cystoadenoma of the appendix treated by laparoscopic surgery.
