ABSTRACT

The effects of the memory alteration in the production of the speech are explored in an individual with acoustic amnesic aphasia. Function of the memory was explored in two modalities: of work and long term as well as their impact in the speech procedural, conversational and narrative in the pragmatic productivity, coherence and cohesion. The speech implies or requires resources of the memory of work, at the same time that he/she leans on in the memory of information of the long term memory. The individual that presents low capacities in memory of work spreads to show difficulties with the coherence of the speech and the cohesion in most of the goods of the speech, since it is difficult for them to maintain and to relate previous information with new information. The individual that presents long term memory deficit presents difficulties in the narrative speech and in the conversation because both require memory of the information of the long term memory. Finally is was observed that while the memory alteration is implied in certain aspects of the production of the atypical speech, many atypical behaviors seem inexplicable by memory afectation.
