ABSTRACT
Risk factors that expose the elderly to suffer a hip fracture include impairment in walking ability as well as in posture and balance, motor coordination, lack of antigravitatory strength and decrease in vision quality. Epidemiologic figures of recorded patients from 1982 through 1997 in our hospitals are reported.
