ABSTRACT

In the present work, a revision of the Evaluation of the Invalidity in Mexico is done; the traditional model is analyzed carried out by the Mexican Institute of the Social Security, as well as the evolution of the same one to the year 2004 according to the legislation in force. On the other hand, the New Model of Evaluation of the Invalidity is explained, its dimensions and its referring based on the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health of the World Health Organization, the sociodemographic aspects and the Capacity for the Work, toward it to establish the percentage of disability and to do evident the existence of a state of invalidity in the sick workers.
