Fracture of the medial tibial plateau with helicoidal metadiaphyseal stroke. A clinical-case report

ABSTRACT

The fractures of the tibial plateau represent the 8% of the fractures in the elderly. We report a case of an eliptical metadiaphysial fracture of the tibial plateau on a 53 years old male. Simplification of treatment allowed us to fix the fracture by radial spongial screws. A review of the incidence in this type of fracture is made.
