ABSTRACT

This is the case of a 12-year old male adolescent who had a benign fibrous hystiocitoma in the distal left femur that addressed an agreessive behaviour. Patient was treated by “in block” resection of the bone segment which was autoclaved at 125 }C by 15 minutes. Afterwards bone were returned into its original place and surrounded by bone marrow. Bone fixation was carried out by an intramedullary Colchero interlocking rod. Progressive weight-bearing has been allowed and no complication has appeared after an initial postoperative follow-up of 3 months.
