ABSTRACT
Introduction: Rheumatic heart and fever are diseases of inflammatory origin that develop after an amygdaline infection. Patients with such background must be free of any infectious process in order to avoid the recurrence of heart infection. Objective: To know the complications and sequel of this two pathological entities, to know the procedures for a proper diagnosis and treatment as well as the knowledge evaluation of senior dentistry students for the patient handling. Design: Descriptive, transversal and comparative. Material and methods: Three universities were selected and tested with a structured questionnaire. The analysis consisted with the review of each answer given by the students as well as if they have a clear view of the school teachings. Results: There is a deficiency in the related concepts. Conclusion: The schools should provide a better program in order to treat the patients with heart disease in a safer way.REFERENCES
