ABSTRACT

For a successful transplant, there are two very important factors: rejection and infections. In order to make a transplant, first, it is necessary to make careful evaluations of the donor and the recipient, including a complete medical history with possible exposure to uncommon diseases like rabies. It would take in care the type of infections, that can developed in different time of the postransplant status, to provide the adequate prophylactic, therapeutic or eradication treatment. This paper makes a review of evaluation, the infection risk, different kind of infections and treatment to provide.
