ABSTRACT

Objective: To compare the efficacy of two medicaments in hypertension. Method: 26 patients followed during three months; 13 with Irbesartan plus HCTE, and 13 without it. Patients were selected at random. Results: Initial pressure were 141.5 in group A and 150.16 in group B. after three months of treatment it descended to 122 in group A and 125 in group B. As it is seen pressure cause down more in group A than in group B, however it was no significative. Conclusion: Both treatments are similar after three months of treatment.
