ABSTRACT
The mortality and morbidity of malignant tumors in mexican children, are presented. Mortality in the children below 15 years represent 3.0% of the total fatal cases due to tumors, with a slight predominance in males. The principal causes of death are: leukemias and encephalic tumors, and in morbidity the highest frequency registered are: malignant disease of the hematopoietic system and limphatic neoplasms.There is some tendency of increase the frequency of tumors. It could related to a better system of information, or it could be due, to an increament in the exposition to carcinogenic factors.
