Airway, difficult airway.

ABSTRACT

The difficult airway poses a challenge to the trained anesthesiologist, and even more so to the inexperienced one. Failure to foresee a difficult intubation represents a medical emergency which, if not treated promptly and adequately, could lead to severe problems and threaten the patient’s life. This review intends to provide a comprehensive approach to the diagnosis and management of the difficult airway.
