ABSTRACT

The incidence of the congenital cardiopathy is one by thousand live births, in Mexico 50% of the cardiac defects require of surgical procedures and of these 30% are accomplished with extracorporeal circulation. It is known that 85% of the cardiac defects are considered multifactorial, thanks to development of mechanical devices that substitute the cardiopulmonary functions and to the beneficial effects of hypothermia the Extracorporeal circulation techniques, they are now a common practice. Due to the immaturity of their organs, the managing of the neonate patient, differs importantly of the adult, since develops greater response to the Extracorporeal circulation, genere complications as pulmonary edema, miocardic, cerebral, systemic inflammatory response and multiple organizational defect, nevertheless measured as miniaturization of the circuits and anti-inflammatory therapy between other, they have reduced morbimortality on the last ten years.
