ABSTRACT

Aim of the study: Evaluate the analgesic efects of buprenorphine compared to eperidural fentanyl for postoperative pain control patients in hieterctomy using eperidural block. Study design: Controlled clinical trial. Material and methods: Thirty patients were divided in patients undergoing 2 groups. Group I (n=15) Buprenorphine and group II (n=15) Fentanyl. Ages 35 to 70, grades II and III according the American Society of Anestesiology. Anestesical technique eperidural block, L1-L2 with 300 mg. 2% Lidocaine with epinefrine. Buprenorphine was used 150 mcg for group I and Fentanyl 50 mcg for group II after the surgical procedure. Results: Significant differences were noted in analgesic effects provided by buprenorphine in the postoperative period (p ‹ 0.001). Conclusions: The analgesic effects the buprenorphine was compared to the Fentanyl is superior concerning time and analgesic quality with minimal side effects.
