Key words:

Coronary arteries, myocardial ischemia, anomalous origin.

ABSTRACT

The anomalies in the origin of the coronary arteries are infrequent, and might be asymptomatic or cause manifestation of ischemia as angina, myocardial infarction, arrhythmias and death. The case is a female of 68 years old, with hypertension, dislipidemia, and chromic stable angina, the stress test was positive for myocardial ischemia in the cardiac catheterization, we found a unique coronary artery, this artery is divided in left and right coronary arteries, with an obstructive lesion of 80% in the left anterior descending artery, we made coronary angioplasty with good results. Conclusions: The reason these patients are studied is myocardial ischemia; which is conditioned by anomalous origin, but the atherosclerosis of coronary arteries can produce obstructive lesions.
