ABSTRACT

Schwannoma is a benign neurogenic tumor of slow growing. Fourty-five percent of cases occur in head and neck region; its origin on nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses is not common, about 4%. We report the case of a nasal septum schwannoma in a male 68 year-old patient, with a tumor of eight years of evolution with clinical signs of nasal obstruction and rhinorrhea. Extirpation by lateral rhynotomy was done successfully. After three years of follow-up patient does not have recurrence.
