ABSTRACT

This review show is about the overweight and obesity in Mexican children and adolescents, here is related the slow increment of the prevalence rates in the last 15 years for to be now a serious public health. The reports of the national nutritional surveys and report of studies done in primary schools and secondary institutions, shown how has been the growth in the frequency of the overweight-obesity and the metabolic consequences of energy excess in the diet and the low physical activity in children and adolescents.
