ABSTRACT
The prevalence of the Virus of the Human Papiloma (VPH) in the male population is 40% 3 times more than in the woman in which is of 14%. The condilomas acuminate of the external genital, were known from the old times, already described accurately for Greek and Roman. The sexual transmission of the genital condilomas was demonstrated by Barret and cols. in 1954 and later on confirmed by Dunny Ogivie and for Oriel and Almeida. By the middle of the decade of the 70 Della Torre with the coming of the molecular biology, it was allowed to overcome the impossibility of cultivating virus and it drove to the knowledge of the heterogeneity of this viral gender. Today there are many studies that imply the VPH in the genesis of the carcinoma of the female genital tract as well as of the penis. The sexual way, is the modality of more common infection and the clinical infection that he/she has a high viral load it is more contagious than the subclinic infection. The types 16,18, 31, 33, 35, 45 and 56 are more common in malignant dysplasia and Cancer of the cervix. The infection in the men in form of acuminate condiloma can interest to the glans, crown, foreskin, furrow balanoprepucial, meato uretral body of the penis, scrotum, anorectal region and perianal and groin, likewise they have been lesions in uretra distal and in bladder. The infection diagnosis for VPH is made by means of, direct observation of external genital, observation with penoscopy or eyeglasses of simple increase or applying acetic acid to 5% with that which subclinical lesions are also valued. Regarding the handling of the VPH we make reference to our experience using two investigation studies that were carried out in the Hospital Juárez de Mexico at the year of 1999 and in the 2000, the first of them uses the 5-FU and in the other one the Imiquimod, both with good results.
