This case report describes 38-year old male, with history of type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. He was admitted to our hospital with a four week history of fever, malaise, and abdominal pain localized in the upper left quadrant. Blood Tests reported leucocytosis. Abdominal CT scan showed multiple hypodense lesions compatible with spleen abscess. Splenectomy was performed and IV antibiotic was started. Secretion culture was positive for Staphylococcus aureus.. This case represents the first report of a spleen abscess in our hospital.
