The aim of this study was to determine the effect of obesity on outcomes following liver transplantation in a single centre. The authors reviewed 167 liver transplants, performed between in a four year period. One hundred forty three transplants were performed in patients with a body mass index (BMI) ‹ 30 kg/m2, 14 in patients with a BMI of 30–34 kg/m2, and 10 in patients with a BMI › 35 kg/m2, 14 in patients with a BMI of 30–34 kg/m2, and 10 in patients with a BMI › 35 kg/m2.
