ABSTRACT

Although the world restlessness exists of carrying out programs of detection of hearing losses and its causes, as well as laws that promote its handling, in developing countries, are still limited the resources to carry out these actions, the study of a random sample in a captive community and the optimization of resources specialized in audiology made possible the mensuration of the prevalence of problems of hearing impairment and ear pathology in the children of the Colonia-penal of the Islas Marías, purpose of this study.
