ABSTRACT
The ketogenic diet is a therapeutic approach for the uncontrolled epilepsy in children. Although this diet was used since the first have of the last century, based in the observations in patients with epilepsy and starvation, that the ketosis seems to be an effective procedure to diminish the frequency of seizures, in recent years has been accumulated enough evidences that shown that a ketogenic induced diet is effective in children with uncontrolled epilepsy. In this paper are some of this experiences reported in this studies.
