ABSTRACT

Accessory tragus is a congenital malformation of the external ear that could be associated with other abnormalities of the first and second branchial arch. A case of a unilateral accessory tragus located in the preauricular region in a 12-year-old girl with no family history of developmental malformations is reported.
The clinical characteristics, embryologic development and histopathologic features are described. We emphasize the possible association with other malformations of brachial archs.
