ABSTRACT

Reviewing historical facts requires not only the narrative of the developments that need to be reported in a chronological way, but it is also important to perform an analysis of the background preceding the state of what one is trying to refer, the environment where the facts were developed, the level of present knowledge, what the condition of technical and technological improvements was at that moment, and what was the sense in which the plans and projects were developed to, as well as the facts triggering the changes and, in a very important way, the characters that influenced the situation in order to make the story valuable, and made it worth being told. Plastic surgery was practiced and it is still done in the Service of Plastic Surgery of the General Hospital of Mexico since its emergence, thanks to a recovery share sketch. This administrative way of managing has allowed a public assistance hospital with scarce budget and several lacks to subsist, since the attraction of this kind of surgery learning has permitted a great affluence of physicians covering the human resources needed to offer the assistance requirements of reconstructive surgery under a supervised quality, as well as instruction and research.
