ABSTRACT
All endodontically treated teeth need to be restored, in many cases the placement of a prefabricated or a cast post is indicated. Creating a post space increases the risk of root weakening or perforation. The objective of this document is to offer a point of view about the form in which the preparation of a space for an intraradicular post can induce coronal leakage of bacteria and the late failure of the endodontic-treatment.
