ABSTRACT

Since the publications of its first issue, in 1977, SALUD MENTAL has complied with its main purpose, that of providing a space for the publication and difusion of the advancements in psychiatry and mental health in this country and elsewhere. This journal has been the official organ of the Institute since 1980. SALUD MENTAL publishes original works of high and absolute scientific quality, of great importance within the ample field of action of psychiatry and mental health. It publishes in its various sections results of investigations, topics of interest, international journal reviews and advancements in this area. In this paper, a revision of the 23 years of uninterrupted publication of SALUD MENTAL, with its changes and achievements to this date, are briefly and summarizedly presented.
