El fijador externo monoplanar en las fracturas diafisarias femorales en pediatría. Experiencia en el Hospital Italiano Garibaldi de Rosario

ABSTRACT

The use of external fixators as an alternative treatment for femur fractures in pediatric age patients is proposed. Twenty four patients were treated in an age range from 6 to 15 years old. They had good results in 21 patients with a health fracture grade 3 and final angulation between 0 to 5 grades. In two of them a refracture occurred and it was attributed to a premature remove of the fixator.
