ABSTRACT

Oral cancer can affect all structures of the oral cavity. The most common of these is called squamous cell carcinoma or squamous cell or spinocellular epithelioma. You can find other lesions such as tumors of the salivary glands, lymphoma, melanoma, verrucous carcinoma, sarcoma Kaposi (common in AIDS), or metastatic tumors primary distance. Are more frequent in males than in females, but increased use of snuff and alcohol use by women has increased incidence. Its clinical presentation has been reported from 50-60 years, although recently reported up in less than 30 years. The etiology is multifactorial, some predisposing factors are snuff, alcohol, mouthwashes with alcohol and septic mouths. In recent decades, the language of cancer cells scaling has been rising in the west, with significance on demographic factors, clinical and histological in relation to prognosis. Nearly 18,000 people per year, developed cancer of the tongue and cavity oral.
