ABSTRACT
In order to know the radiological manifestations the pulmonary tuberculosis in the patient with diabetes mellitus, xrays of thorax of 25 patients with diagnoses confirmed for both clinical organizations were evaluated; the patients received medical attention in units of first dependent level of attention of Sanitary Jurisdiction No. 4 of the Secretariat of Health in Nuevo Leon (México). 68% of the sample were conformed by patients of masculine sex, the affected group of age but was located between the 60 and 70 years with a 40%. The affection of the superior lobe and the presence of cavitations were findings in 80% of the studied patients. 68% showed affection in but of a lobe, 20% presented/displayed affection of the superior, average and inferior lobe. It excels the presence of affection of the inferior lobe with a 48%. If it is considered that the establishment of the diagnosis of the pulmonary tuberculosis is carried out frequently in a first level of attention; and that in this process the radiological evaluation is fundamental; the necessity that is emphasized knowledge of the different radiological manifestations with the purpose of suspecting and establishing the diagnosis and the opportune treatment before the concomitante presence of so important problems of public health is had.
