ABSTRACT

The results of the angular distribution of the solar erythemal irradiance (directly related to the UV Index) incident on the skin of humans exposed to the intense Sun of the Southern Hemisphere summer, at the Rosario region, Argentina, are presented. It was determined the most exposed zones of the skin, at a given moment of the day and a day of the year. Also, it was investigated the correlation between the UV index and chronic diseases of the skin in patients at a Public Hospital of the indicated city. In this way, a change in the phase of the oscillatory behaviour of these functions was obtained.
