ABSTRACT
Laparoscopic repair of inguinal hernia is different from other miniinvasive surgical techniques. Very few surgeons perform laparoscopic hernioplasty. Profound anatomical knowledge is required because it is totally different to the anatomy of the anterior inguinal region. In the present article, some important aspects learned in twenty years of experience with laparoscopic inguinal and incisional hernias are discussed.
