Torsion of a giant omental cyst in a child with acute abdomen

ABSTRACT
Introduction. The omental cysts, are a rare tumors with asymptomatic evolution but sometimes produce an acute abdomen syndrome. Here is presented the case of a child of 27 months age with symptoms of acute abdomen due to a torsion of a giant omental cyst. Resection total was performed, with good evolution.
