ABSTRACT

Asthma is a disorder defined by its clinical, physiological and pathological conditions. The predominant characteristic of the medical history are the episodes of breathing difficulty, particularly at night, and frequently accompanied by cough. Factors that influence the risk of developing asthma can be divided into those that cause the development of asthma and those that precipitate asthma exacerbations. Now asthma is considered a controllable disease with a combination of appropriate therapeutic and health education to the family and the patient with asthma. This education is geared primarily toward avoiding risk factors identified in each patient and the proper adherence to established treatment.
